Boy waits for food at partner agencySecond Harvest partners with incorporated, non-profit agencies that serve at least 70% low-income people. Our Partners serve a culturally diverse range of populations and include soup kitchens, pantries, rehabilitation centers, shelters for victims of domestic violence, schools, senior centers and more.

Unlike most other food banks around the country, we do not charge our agencies a fee to receive food from us. While this increases the amount of money that we need to raise annually, we feel it is another way we can support our partner agencies who are often small non-profits with limited budgets and fundraising capabilities. By providing food to our Partner Agencies, they can focus their time and resources on their areas of expertise, strengthening the community safety net.

Learn more about our Food Assistance Program (FAP) that supplies food to our 316 Partner Agencies in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties.

St. Joseph's is a collaborative of individuals, businesses, and churches working together to provide a central location for people to come to when in a crisis or emergency situation.

It's all about distribution.
