Triple Your Impact
We know what needs to be done to connect hungry kids to nutritious food, but we need your help. Stand up for kids in our community. Watch a new video message from campaign co-chairs Sheryl Sandberg (Facebook, LeanIn.Org) and John Donahoe (eBay, Inc.). [P.S. Every $1 you donate before May 31 will be matched with $2!]

With Hope and Dignity
Before Norma knew about Second Harvest, she worried about getting enough food: "I remember the moment when I opened my refrigerator door and it was completely empty, and I mean empty. I thought, 'What am I going to feed my son?'" Norma has been volunteering for our Family Harvest program to give back. Read her story.

Celebrating Partners and Volunteers
We wouldn't be able to serve more than 250,000 people every month without the help of local shelters, pantries, soup kitchens, and our dedicated volunteers. At the Harvest of Knowledge Partner Conferences, our partners networked, learned about community resources, and received awards. Our volunteers had a wonderful and colorful time at the 2014 Volunteer Recognition Event (check out the photos).

Be sure to read the San Jose Mercury News op-ed by Dana Bunnett of Kids in Common on how hunger is a learning handicap for kids.
