One in three kids in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties may not be getting enough to eat every day. Feeling hungry can be scary for kids, especially when they don't know where their next meal is coming from. In this video, Juan and his siblings, Lisette and David, share what happens when they don't have enough food to eat.

Fighting Summer Hunger in East Palo Alto

95% of East Palo Alto students are eligible for free or reduced-price meals at their schools. During the summer, students lose access to these school meals. We're partnering with Ravenswood School District, the San Mateo County Library System, local YMCAs, and the Pediatric Advocacy Program at Stanford School of Medicine to provide food to these kids.

Jessica came to us with an idea — she wanted to give kids who have experienced food insecurity the chance to express their stories. With our support, she facilitated a 10-week creative writing course to a class of 5th and 6th graders in Redwood City. She shares her experience in a two-part blog post series.

An Evening of Knitwear & Community

Margaret O'Leary, the Bay Area's favorite designer, will be showing her Spring 2015 Collection at her new Palo Alto boutique on Thursday, April 30, from 4pm to 8pm.
