Connecting Neighbors to Good Food

Our food rescue efforts connected neighbors in need with over 36 million pounds of food in 2015. Our Grocery Rescue program in particular has seen a huge increase in pounds of rescued food. Vicky Martin, Pantry Coordinator at St. Joseph's Family Center in Gilroy, shares how the program is making a big difference, both for her organization and the people they serve.

Summer Hunger in Silicon Valley

About 70% of local, low-income students get free and reduced-priced school meals. However, over the summer, only about 20% participate in a subsidized meal program. We work with community-based organizations to provide a network of sites where kids can get free meals during summer months.

Super Cool Summer Treats

Priceless Service and Dedication

We work with nearly 330 partner agencies to provide food to a quarter of a million people per month. Lynn Crawford, a volunteer for over 6 years, helps process food orders from these key community partners. Explaining why he volunteers, he says, matter-of-factly, "It matches my value system."
