Last month, a team of Second Harvest Food Bank employees pitched a problem to an audience of about 150 coders at PayPal's Opportunity Hackathon in San Jose. Elizabeth Whamond, Director of Business Applications at the Food Bank, shares what the experience was like and encourages Silicon Valley tech community members to get involved in the causes they care about.
