WINTER
- Holiday Food & Fund Drive (October - January)
The winter holidays bring out our giving spirits. Feed others throughout the year by coordinating a Holiday Food & Fund Drive. - Legal Community (October – January)
Law Firms come together to show their support for those in need with their competitive spirit during the winter season. - Scouting for Food (November)
The Boy Scouts will pick-up bags of food from your home and deliver them to the Food Bank the Saturday before Thanksgiving. - Lenten Drive (February - March)
Lent is a time of fasting and abstinence, yet some of our neighbors do not have a choice. Your congregation can help those in need by hosting a drive during Lent.
SPRING
- Community Food & Fund Drive
Feed people in need by coordinating a drive in celebration of a special event, spring break or because some of your neighbors may be in need of food. - Letter Carriers' Stamp Out Hunger (May)
Your letter carrier will pick up bags of food from your home and deliver them to the Food Bank.
SUMMER
- Share Your Lunch (May 1 - July 31)
Summer is the season of childhood hunger. Help provide food to children who receive free meals during the school year. - Community Food & Fund Drive
Feed people in need by coordinating a drive at the time of year when donations are hard to come by. August and September are lean months for Second Harvest.
FALL
- Community Food & Fund Drive
Feed people in need by coordinating a drive leading up to our busiest season. - High Holy Days Drive (September – October)
Synagogues and community organizations run food and fund drives between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
