Hunger Study 2014

Research helps us measure the unmet need for food in our community by identifying trends in food assistance programs, and provides insight into the changing composition of our partner agencies and the clients they serve. Success for ending hunger in our region is contingent on the success of all our partnerships.

In the heart of Silicon Valley, the center of technology and innovation, Second Harvest Food Bank continues to see unprecedented need. In 2014, Second Harvest participated in a national hunger census to help define the "who," "why," and "where" of local hunger. Special thanks to all of our partners who participated in the data collection for this report and for making our shared mission a reality each day. We believe our collective resources will reduce and ultimately end local hunger.
