Barbara Gehlen

Director of Food Resources

Barbara Gehlen joined Second Harvest Food Bank in May 2007 as the Food Resources and Purchasing Manager. She was promoted to Director of Food Resources in June 2008.

With 20 years of professional experience in purchasing, procurement and strategic sourcing, Barbara has spent the last 17 years with 2 specialty retailers, notably See's Candies, Inc. and The Gap. At The Gap, she managed an indirect spend of $50M and achieved over $4M in savings.

Barbara received her Bachelor of Sciences degree from UC Davis. She holds a certification in Advanced Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University. She is also ServSafe certified.
