Die Verteilung der Lebensmittel an dieser Stelle erfolgt einmal im Monat.<\/p>\n<p>An diesem Tag haben wir mit Hilfe engagierter Freiwilliger der Campbell United Methodist Church ungef\u00e4hr 170 Familien betreut! Alle Teilnehmer sch\u00e4tzten die Interaktion mit Kunden und f\u00fchlten sich gest\u00e4rkt und verbunden mit der Mission von Second Harvest.<\/p>\n<p>Fragen Sie sich, wie es war, sich an einem unserer Vertriebsstandorte freiwillig zu melden? Als wir ankamen, standen bereits Leute mit Karren an.<\/p>\n<p>Bevor die Verteilung begann, begannen die Freiwilligen, alle Lebensmittel vom LKW zu entladen und Lebensmittel zusammen zu verpacken. Zum Beispiel bekam jede Familie 2 P\u00e4ckchen H\u00fchnchen, 4 Dosen Thunfisch, 10 K\u00e4sesticks und mehr.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.shfb.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Diane-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10233\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.shfb.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Diane-2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Diane, unsere Leiterin des Freiwilligendienstes, packte gefrorene H\u00fchner f\u00fcr Familien.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.shfb.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/volunteers.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10234\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.shfb.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/volunteers-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Freiwillige der Campbell United Methodist Church arbeiteten hart daran, alle Lebensmittelboxen zu entladen und zu \u00f6ffnen.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.shfb.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/volunteers-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10235\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.shfb.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/volunteers-2-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Freiwillige stellten Lebensmittel strategisch auf. Zuerst wurden schwere Produkte wie gefrorenes Huhn und Reis gegeben, dann leichte Produkte wie Thunfischdosen, Tortillas, K\u00e4se. Nicht abgebildet: Frische Produkte werden zuletzt au\u00dferhalb des Geb\u00e4udes abgegeben.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Wir waren begeistert von der Qualit\u00e4t des verteilten Essens: viel frisches Obst und Gem\u00fcse f\u00fcr eine gesunde Ern\u00e4hrung! W\u00e4hrend Lejla, eine unserer Mitarbeiterinnen, Kartoffeln f\u00fcr Kunden verpackte, fand sie eine sehr coole herzf\u00f6rmige Kartoffel!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.shfb.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/lejla.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10237\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.shfb.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/lejla-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Lejla, unsere Entwicklungsassistentin, hat die perfekte Valentinstagskartoffel gefunden!<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.shfb.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/potato.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-10238\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.shfb.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/potato-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>DAS perfekte Foto zum Valentinstag (vielleicht haben Sie dieses Bild schon gesehen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/2ndharvest\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">unser Instagram<\/a>).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Nachdem wir mit dem Entladen des Lastwagens und dem Verpacken von Lebensmitteln fertig waren, begann die Verteilung und unsere Freiwilligen f\u00fcllten die Karren der Kunden mit Lebensmitteln. Es war sowohl aufschlussreich zu erkennen, dass sich im Silicon Valley viele Menschen auf die Lebensmittelverteilung von Second Harvest verlassen, als auch sehr erfrischend, das L\u00e4cheln auf den Gesichtern unserer Kunden zu sehen. Am Ende der Verteilung wurden alle verbleibenden Gegenst\u00e4nde an Personen verteilt, die auf eine zweite Runde warteten: Unser Ziel ist es immer, alle Lebensmittel zu verschenken!<\/p>\n<p><a
