Second Harvest of Silicon Valley hat vier neue Vorstandsmitglieder gew\u00e4hlt, die unterschiedliche F\u00e4higkeiten und Hintergr\u00fcnde in die Tafel einbringen, da sie weiterhin einem beispiellosen Bedarf gegen\u00fcbersteht. Die Pandemie hat neue Herausforderungen geschaffen, da sich eine Rekordzahl von Menschen f\u00fcr Lebensmittel an Second Harvest gewandt hat. Heute versorgt Second Harvest jeden Monat durchschnittlich fast 450.000 Menschen \u2013 80% mehr als vor der Pandemie.<\/p>\n

Dr. Adriana Porter Filz<\/strong> ist Director of Engineering bei Google. Sie kam vor neun Jahren als Sicherheitsingenieurin zum Chrome-Team, als es noch ein Browser war, der von einem kleinen Team unterst\u00fctzt wurde. Im Laufe der Jahre war sie f\u00fcr wichtige Teile des Browsers verantwortlich, als Chrome auf Milliarden von Benutzern skaliert wurde. Heute leitet sie die Data Science-, Content- und iOS-Teams von Chrome. Sie ist extern vor allem f\u00fcr ihre Arbeit im Bereich Softwaresicherheit bekannt und wurde als eine der Innovators Under 35 des MIT Technology Review ausgezeichnet. Als Tochter einer Immigrantin und Absolventin der Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley Latino Board Leadership Academy ist Adriana besonders leidenschaftlich \u00fcber Probleme, die die Latinx-Community betreffen. Zuvor war Moore Pr\u00e4sident des Ca\u00f1ada College in Redwood City. Als prominente Verfechterin f\u00fcr soziale Gerechtigkeit und Hochschulleiterin ist sie als Verfechterin f\u00fcr Zugang zu Bildung und Chancengleichheit mit dem Fokus auf den Erfolg der Studierenden anerkannt. Dr. Lisa Goldman Rosas<\/strong> ist Assistenzprofessor am Department of Epidemiology and Population Health und der Abteilung Primary Care and Population Health des Department of Medicine an der Stanford School of Medicine. Als ausgebildete Epidemiologin nutzt Dr. Goldman Rosas ihre Expertise im Patienten- und Gemeindeengagement sowie in der Verhaltensforschung, um Ungleichheiten bei chronischen Krankheiten wie Diabetes, Depression und Krebs anzugehen.
