Here are some current events and promotions benefiting Feeding America and Second Harvest Food Bank:
Feb. 4, 2018 – Feb. 2, 2019
For every $10 spent at stores across the country, BoxLunch will help provide .10 to the Feeding America network of food banks. BoxLunch is a specialty retailer offering a curated collection of licensed pop culture merchandise. Locally, they are at Westfield Oakridge Mall in San Jose.
Feeding America is one of 10 charities chosen to pilot Charity Miles, a free iPhone/Android app that empowers people to earn money for charity while walking, running or biking. Participants choose one of the app’s featured charities and hit the streets. The app will track the participant’s distance and they’ll earn money for their charity. Bikers earn 10¢ per mile; walkers and runners earn 25¢ per mile—all up to an initial $1,000,000 sponsorship pool.
Second Harvest Food Bank will receive 65% of revenue generated by the Charity Miles app in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties.

The Cheesecake Factory
July 30, 2018 – February 28, 2019
For every slice of the new Very Cherry Ghiradelli Chocolate Cheesecake, The Cheesecake Factory will donate $.25 to Feeding America. All funds will be split 50/50 between Feeding America and local food banks.
