Brian Birtwistle is een voormalig leidinggevende die de afgelopen 25 jaar senior posities bekleedde bij technologiebedrijven in een vroeg stadium die snel groeiden. Brian was onlangs SVP Marketing bij Ripple Labs. Hij was eerder Chief Product Officer voor Indigo Agriculture en Chief Operating Officer bij Tilt, een sociale betalingsstartup die werd overgenomen door Airbnb.<\/p>\n

Brian leidde ook marketing bij gaminggigant Zynga in de jaren voorafgaand aan de beursgang. Daarvoor was hij CEO van WineAccess, waar hij het flash-sale-model voor hoogwaardige, kleinschalig geproduceerde wijnen pionierde. Hij begon zijn carri\u00e8re in de technologie als een vroege werknemer en opkomende leidinggevende bij Amazon, waar hij als General Manager voor twee van de retailbedrijven fungeerde. Brian heeft een bachelordiploma van Princeton University en een MBA van Harvard Business School.<\/p>\n

Brian werd 20 jaar geleden in Seattle ge\u00efntroduceerd in het probleem van voedselonzekerheid. Verbaasd en verontwaardigd over de omvang van het probleem, sloot hij zich aan bij Seattle's Second Harvest chapter als jongste bestuurslid en zette de zaak voort nadat hij naar San Mateo County was verhuisd. Later, in 2017, sloot hij zich aan bij Second Harvest of Silicon Valley's Board, waar hij onlangs voorzitter was. Hij blijft geloven dat de omvang van ons lokale voedselonzekerheidsprobleem - dat zelfs na de pandemie op recordniveau blijft bestaan - de aandacht, middelen en tijd vereist van iedereen in onze gemeenschap die kan helpen.<\/p>\n<\/div>
