Het voedselprogramma zal helpen bij het aanpakken van onmiddellijke voedselonzekerheden bij de meest kwetsbare studenten die steeds vaker met deze vraag worden geconfronteerd: betaal ik voor maaltijden of boeken? Deze college-pantry-site is ook uniek omdat deze open staat voor iedereen die hulp nodig heeft.<\/p>\n<p>In samenwerking zijn Second Harvest en The Office of Student Activities van Mission College begonnen aan een reis om de honger naar studenten en buren te elimineren. Het personeel van Mission College was ronduit uitstekend in hun bereidheid om toezicht te houden op dit programma op hun campus. Degenen die de distributie bijwoonden, mochten het voedsel kiezen dat het beste aan hun behoeften voldeed. Als een voedseldistributie ooit de mythe heeft ontkracht van hoe een voorraadkast eruit ziet, was dit een goed voorbeeld!<\/p>\n<p>De distributie was een enorm succes. Bij de offici\u00eble opening bedienden ze 253 huishoudens en bereikten ze op de eerste dag bijna het gestelde doel van 300 huishoudens! Ze verwachten bij de volgende distributie nog meer studenten en leden van de gemeenschap. De foto&#039;s geven slechts een kleine glimp van het werk en de impact die iedereen die dag voelde. Hier is een goed werk geleverd door Rachael Goldberg en The Office of Student Activities op Mission College!<\/p>\n<p>De Food Market is elke eerste woensdag van de maand geopend van 11.00 uur tot 14.00 uur op parkeerplaats B.
