Ocean&#039;s Halo begon afgelopen september met ons samen te werken door op kelp gebaseerde snacks, bouillons en sauzen te doneren. Ik ben afgestudeerd aan de Santa Clara University met een Bachelor of Science in Commerce en een dubbele major in Economics and Environmental Studies.<\/p>\n<p>Ocean&#039;s Halo is begonnen als een chipbedrijf en is uitgegroeid tot een bedrijf met een diverse set nieuwe producten.<\/p>\n<p>We hebben momenteel 6 werknemers, waaronder een persoon voor productontwikkeling in de VS en een mede-oprichter die in Korea woont, waar de kelp en het zeewier worden gekweekt, geoogst en gekocht. Wij maken en verkopen bouillon, noodles, noodlesets en zeewiersnacks. We verkopen via Amazon, Walmart, Whole Foods en een aantal kleinere retailers in de Verenigde Staten. We willen meer uitbreiden en ook de Europese markt penetreren.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wat zijn op dit moment enkele van de belangrijkste initiatieven van Ocean&#039;s Halo?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Onze meest recente innovatie bij Ocean&#039;s Halo zijn heerlijke en verfrissende drankjes met diep zeewater met van nature voorkomende elektrolyten zoals calcium, magnesium en kalium. De oceaan is een aanvulbare bron voor water en diepzeewater komt van de polaire gletsjers van de oceaan. Het is een voedselrijk water dat zijn zuiverheid behoudt op ongeveer 1000 meter onder het oppervlak. We werken ook aan het vinden van meer verkooplocaties en e-commerce-locaties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wanneer ben je begonnen met samenwerken met Second Harvest? Hoe is de samenwerking tot stand gekomen?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ik hoorde voor het eerst over Second Harvest toen ik naar school ging aan de Santa Clara University waar ik deel uitmaakte van een project (<a href=\"http:\/\/magazine.scu.edu\/scm\/article.cfm?c=24253\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Herstelpotentieel van landbouwproducten in Centraal-Californi\u00eb voor distributie van voedselbanken)<\/a>\u00a0in 2016-2017 met Dr. Gregory Baker. De definitieve samenvatting van het onderzoek wordt momenteel geschreven. Ik ben erg gepassioneerd door problemen met voedselverspilling en Ocean&#039;s Halo is afgelopen september begonnen met het doneren van producten die hun uiterste verkoopdatum overschrijden of bijna bereiken. Ik werk ook met Martha&#039;s Kitchen via het Food Recovery Network van Santa Clara University.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wat vind je het leukst aan Second Harvest?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ik waardeer de toegankelijkheid en het reactievermogen enorm.
