Deze verandering was onderdeel van een poging om ons merk te vernieuwen, wat ons de gelegenheid gaf om te weerspiegelen hoe ver we zijn gekomen als organisatie en omarmen waar we naartoe gaan. We bedienen elke maand 260.000 mensen (dat is 1 op de 10), maar dat is nog steeds niet genoeg omdat we schatten dat 1 op de 4 mensen in Silicon Valley honger dreigt. Het is belangrijk om die kloof te dichten, omdat we ervoor willen zorgen dat iedereen die een gezonde maaltijd nodig heeft, er een kan krijgen.<\/p>\n<p>Door onze naam te veranderen in Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, erkennen we de realiteit van het leven in een gebied dat voor sommigen economisch welvarend is, maar voor iedereen duur. Onze nieuwe naam omvat zowel de kansen als de uitdagingen waarmee veel van onze inwoners worden geconfronteerd.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-title title fusion-title-2 fusion-sep-none fusion-title-text fusion-title-size-two\" style=\"--awb-margin-top-small:10px;--awb-margin-right-small:0px;--awb-margin-bottom-small:10px;--awb-margin-left-small:0px;\"><h2 class=\"fusion-title-heading title-heading-left\" style=\"margin:0;\"><p class=\"green\">Ons bereik uitbreiden<\/p><\/h2><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3\"><p>Na onderzoek te hebben gedaan, ontdekten we dat de gemeenschap Second Harvest vertrouwt, maar veel mensen weten niet echt wat we doen - en daar moesten we iets aan doen.<\/p>\n<p>Om de honger in Silicon Valley op te lossen, moeten we iedereen bereiken met onze boodschap, van kinderen, gezinnen en senioren die onze hulp rechtstreeks nodig hebben, tot degenen die genereus genoeg zijn om onze missie te ondersteunen. Wij geloven dat een duidelijk gedefinieerd merk en consistente berichten de zichtbaarheid van onze diensten in de gemeenschap zullen vergroten.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-title title fusion-title-3 fusion-sep-none fusion-title-text fusion-title-size-two\" style=\"--awb-margin-top-small:10px;--awb-margin-right-small:0px;--awb-margin-bottom-small:10px;--awb-margin-left-small:0px;\"><h2 class=\"fusion-title-heading title-heading-left\" style=\"margin:0;\"><p class=\"green\">Niet zomaar een voedselbank<\/p><\/h2><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-4\"><p>Je hebt misschien ook gemerkt dat &#039;voedselbank&#039; niet langer deel uitmaakt van onze offici\u00eble naam. Door de jaren heen is Second Harvest uitgegroeid tot zoveel meer dan het idee van een typische voedselbank.<\/p>\n<p>We realiseerden ons al lang geleden dat het hongerprobleem te groot is om alleen met traditioneel voedselbankieren op te lossen - we moeten innovatiever zijn. Daarom hebben we de basis gelegd om ons opnieuw voor te stellen hoe we zaken doen, zodat we meer mensen kunnen bereiken met voedzaam voedsel. Dat betekent voedsel verstrekken wanneer, waar en hoe mensen het nodig hebben, en ook gebruikmaken van andere voedselbronnen, zoals federaal gefinancierde schoolmaaltijden en CalFresh.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-title title fusion-title-4 fusion-sep-none fusion-title-text fusion-title-size-two\" style=\"--awb-margin-top-small:10px;--awb-margin-right-small:0px;--awb-margin-bottom-small:10px;--awb-margin-left-small:0px;\"><h2 class=\"fusion-title-heading title-heading-left\" style=\"margin:0;\"><p class=\"green\">Vooruit gaan<\/p><\/h2><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-5\"><p>We hebben ambitieuze plannen om ervoor te zorgen dat iedereen in onze gemeenschap het voedzame voedsel kan krijgen dat ze nodig hebben om te gedijen, en we geloven dat deze kans ons zal helpen daar te komen.
