Kan ik voedsel uit mijn koelkast of vriezer doneren aan Second Harvest?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Veilig omgaan met voedsel is van het grootste belang bij Second Harvest. Omdat we niet kunnen garanderen dat het grote publiek zich houdt aan de juiste richtlijnen voor temperatuurbeheersing en voedselverwerking, <strong><em>we kunnen op dit moment geen donaties van persoonlijke koelkasten en diepvriezers accepteren<\/em><\/strong>. Niet-bederfelijke voedseldonaties worden geaccepteerd.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wat kan ik doen om te helpen?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Individuen, bedrijven en organisaties kunnen ervoor zorgen dat iedereen die een gezonde maaltijd nodig heeft, er het hele jaar een kan krijgen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shfb.org\/give-help\/donate-funds\/\">geld doneren<\/a> naar Second Harvest. Niet-bederfelijke voedseldonaties kunnen ook naar een van de drie vestigingen van Second Harvest worden gebracht of in voedseldonatie-vaten van Second Harvest worden geplaatst bij supermarkten, bibliotheken, gemeenschapscentra en andere locaties in de hele gemeenschap. Hoewel onze faciliteiten momenteel niet worden be\u00efnvloed door deze stroomuitval, hebben we back-upgeneratoren in alle drie onze magazijnen - twee in San Jose en \u00e9\u00e9n in San Carlos - zodat we kunnen blijven werken en voedsel kunnen leveren aan leden van de gemeenschap die het nodig hebben.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hoe verdeelt Second Harvest voedsel tijdens de storing?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Second Harvest zal doorgaan met het verstrekken van voedsel aan het publiek, zoals gewoonlijk. We distribueren geen voedsel rechtstreeks aan het publiek vanuit onze drie magazijnen - we verdelen voedsel via ons netwerk van 310 partnerorganisaties op 1.000 locaties in de provincies Santa Clara en San Mateo. Als een van deze partnersites hun voedseldistributies tijdens deze periode niet kan ondersteunen, zullen we met hen samenwerken om zo snel mogelijk een andere distributie te verzetten of mensen door te verwijzen naar andere sites in het gebied die operationeel zijn.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Als een partnerlocatie tijdens de storing wordt getroffen, hoe krijgen mensen dan voedsel?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Het is belangrijk voor het publiek om te weten dat Second Harvest hen tijdens de sluiting zal blijven ondersteunen.
