Second Harvest of Silicon Valley heeft vier nieuwe bestuursleden gekozen die een gevarieerde reeks vaardigheden en achtergronden naar de voedselbank brengen, aangezien deze nog steeds met ongekende behoeften wordt geconfronteerd. De pandemie heeft voor nieuwe uitdagingen gezorgd, aangezien een recordaantal mensen zich tot Second Harvest hebben gewend voor voedsel. Vandaag bedient Second Harvest elke maand gemiddeld bijna 450.000 mensen - 80% meer dan pre-pandemische niveaus.<\/p>\n

Dr. Adriana Porter Felt<\/strong> is Director of Engineering bij Google. Ze kwam negen jaar geleden bij het Chrome-team als beveiligingsingenieur toen het nog een browser was die door een klein team werd ondersteund. In de loop der jaren was ze verantwoordelijk voor belangrijke onderdelen van de browser terwijl Chrome opschaalde naar miljarden gebruikers. Tegenwoordig beheert ze de Data Science-, Content- en iOS-teams van Chrome. Ze is extern vooral bekend om haar werk op het gebied van softwarebeveiliging, waardoor ze erkenning kreeg als een van de Innovators Under 35 van MIT Technology Review. Als dochter van een immigrantenmoeder en afgestudeerd aan de Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley Latino Board Leadership Academy, is Adriana bijzonder gepassioneerd over problemen die de Latinx-gemeenschap aangaan. Om haar kennis van duurzame voeding te verdiepen, werkt Adriana momenteel aan een certificaat in Sustainable Food and Farming aan de UMass Stockbridge School of Agriculture.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Dr. Jamillah Moore<\/strong> is vice-president voor studentenzaken en inschrijvingsbeheer aan de San Francisco State University. Eerder was Moore de president van Ca\u00f1ada College in Redwood City. Als prominent pleitbezorger van sociale rechtvaardigheid en leider in het hoger onderwijs, wordt ze erkend als pleitbezorger voor toegang tot onderwijs en gelijkheid met een focus op het succes van studenten. Ze is lid van de raad van bestuur van de Redwood City Chamber of Commerce en het Parent Institute for Quality Education. Ze is lid van een aantal organisaties, waaronder de American Association of Community Colleges, Lakin Institute for Mentored Leadership, Western Region Council of Black American Affairs, National Council on Black American Affairs, en ze is voormalig vicevoorzitter van de California Commissie voor studentenhulp. Dr. Lisa Goldman Rosas<\/strong> is een assistent-professor bij de afdeling Epidemiologie en Volksgezondheid en de afdeling Eerstelijnszorg en Volksgezondheid van de Afdeling Geneeskunde van de Stanford School of Medicine. Dr. Goldman Rosas is een epidemioloog van opleiding en maakt gebruik van haar expertise op het gebied van pati\u00ebnt- en gemeenschapsbetrokkenheid en gedragswetenschap om ongelijkheden bij chronische ziekten zoals diabetes, depressie en kanker aan te pakken. Ze kreeg onlangs financiering om samen te werken met het voedingsteam van Second Harvest aan een onderzoek gericht op voedselonzekerheid en chronische ziektepreventie. Ze is gepassioneerd over het integreren van pati\u00ebnten, zorgverleners, maatschappelijke organisaties en andere belangrijke belanghebbenden in het onderzoeksproces om de grootste verbeteringen in gezondheidsgelijkheid te bewerkstelligen.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Tina Sunseri<\/strong> is een auditpartner bij Deloitte en heeft meer dan 15 jaar ervaring in het bedienen van openbare en particuliere klanten in de technologie-industrie. Ze is gespecialiseerd in hardware- en softwarebedrijven en heeft ervaring met het bedienen van zowel grote, complexe beursgenoteerde technologiebedrijven als snelgroeiende, door durfkapitaal gesteunde bedrijven in de ontwikkelingsfase in Silicon Valley. Ze heeft uitgebreide ervaring met het adviseren van bedrijven over controles en procesverbeteringen, omzetverantwoording, fusies en overnames en nieuwe en opkomende boekhoudkundige onderwerpen. Ze is een immigrant van de eerste generatie uit Vietnam en kijkt ernaar uit om samen te werken met Second Harvest en de gemeenschappen die het bedient.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
