Students across the Bay Area compete to fill barrels of non-perishable food during the Fundraiser and Food Drive season, but many never get to see how their contributions reach those in need. When Dartmouth Middle School visited us, their Dartmouth News Network made sure to share what they learned with the rest of their classmates.
Their incredible drive finished with 99.21% student participation, an average of 40 non-perishable foods donated per student, and a grand total of 48,909 food items weighing nearly 5,000 pounds.
