  • 3 tbsp honey or agave nectar
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 3/4 cup of rice
  • 1/2 lb brussels srpouts
  • 1/2 head purple cabbage
  • 붉은 양파 1개
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 3 small thai chiles
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 기름 2큰술

Based on an Indonesian Dish called Nasi Goreng, this fried rice uses a ton of vegetables for a ton of flavor by serving the thinly sliced brussels sprouts and cabbage two ways: caramelized for a rich sweetness, and tossed in vinegar and sweet soy sauce for zing. This dish will keep for tomorrow’s lunch or serve everyone for family dinner. For extra protein, top with a fried egg.

Esta receta está basada en una receta de arroz frito de Indonesia llamado Nasi Goreng, este platillo utiliza vegetales como el repollo, las coles de Bruselas y otros ingredientes simples los cuales le dan un sabor agridulce al arroz. Las coles finamente rebanadas se preparan de dos formas: caramelizadas para un sabor dulcecito, y con vinagre y salsa dulce para darle un toque sutilmente agrio. Este platillo es perfecto para compartir en una cena en familia y si sobra, se mantiene muy bien para el almuerzo del día siguiente. Si quiere agregar más proteína, fría un huevo y póngalo sobre el arroz.
