Sara Morales
Senior Vice President, People & Communities, Cisco

Sara Morales serves as Senior Vice President on Cisco’s People & Communities team, where she leads people strategy for more than 20,000 employees across the company’s GTM, Global Consulting and Employee Relations organizations. In that role, she drives business transformation and people-centric approaches to inclusive hybrid work — and is regularly called upon to lead through high-stakes situations, including a global task force supporting Cisco employees and their families during acute crises.
Sara has spent more than 20 years at Cisco, holding leadership roles across HR Business Partnership, Legal, Engineering and Sales, as well as Chief of Staff to the CHRO and HR Manager for Mergers and Acquisitions. She holds a B.S. in Business with a concentration in Human Resources from San Jose State University and was recognized as Woman of the Year by the International Business Awards at the Stevie Awards.
As a people leader, Sara has seen firsthand how economic pressure and access to basic resources can shape every part of a person’s life — from their health and stability to their ability to thrive at work and at home. What drew her to Second Harvest is the organization’s commitment not just to providing food, but to addressing the root causes of food insecurity. She joined the Second Harvest Board in 2026.
Sara lives in Pleasanton with her husband, two children and their Portuguese Water Dog, Pepper.
