Thank you to the 2023 For the Kids Council for their investment of $100,000 or more
The impact of a slowing economy and stubbornly high prices has been felt throughout our community, forcing families to choose between paying for food or paying bills. As families work to recover a sense of stability, Second Harvest is here to ensure that our clients have the nutritious food they need. We are now serving an average of about 500,000 people every month — near record highs — and 127,000 are kids.
Your support helps provide the nutritious food our children need to thrive, giving them the foundation to be engaged, confident, creative and academically successful members of our community.
Second Harvest will use your donation in the most effective and efficient way possible:
- 95% of contributions go to client programs, which help ensure kids in Silicon Valley have access to nutritious, wholesome food all year.
- For the 15th year in a row, Second Harvest has received Charity Navigator’s 4-star (highest) rating for financial stability, accountability and transparency – exceeding industry standards. Only 1% of nonprofits evaluated have received at least 15 consecutive 4-star ratings.

We can’t do this alone, but we can do it with your help. The 2023 For the Kids Council will be matching all eligible gifts from March 1 to May 31, 2023, doubling the impact of every dollar donated. For the Kids Council members will be noted in the Annual Report.
